Nebraska Cornhuskers fans were more than a little weirded out this weekend when Iowa Hawkeyes star Caitlin Clark made an appearance on Saturday Night Live. Not because one of the best women's basketball stars in the country was on TV, but because of what she was wearing.
Many noticed that Clark was wearing a black jacket that had a suspicious Block N on the right breast. letter looked rather identical to the Block N that has become synonymous with the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Considering that Caitlin Clark played for the Hawkeyes, this struck Husker fans as might odd.
It took freelance reporter Bri Lewerke to put the rumors that for some reason, the women's basketball career scoring leader was wearing Nebraska Cornhuskers gear, to rest. She pointed out that while the Block N did look like the Huskers' there was a much simpler answer. It stood for Nike.
