While things have been relatively quiet for the Nebraska football team recruiting-wise, there’s a chance things will get noisy quickly. That’s because one of the top Husker running back targets in the 2025 class is ratcheting it up.
Former Arkansas Razorbacks commit Jamarion Parker doesn’t look like he will be a free agent for long. And it looks like his whirlwind romance with the Nebraska football team is reaching its zenith.
Over the last week, Parker has been wined and dined at the next level by the Huskers’ coaching staff. It seems to be paying off: Yesterday, just about every recruiting analyst worth his salt predicted that he’d land in Lincoln
While he may not be committing this week, it turns out his arrival in Lincoln came sooner than anyone even realized. Parker scheduled an official visit for June, but it turns out he’s taking an unofficial visit on Thursday.
The Cardinal Ritter running back announced this on social media Wednesday night. It would be hard to imagine that Parker isn’t leaving without telling the coaches that he’s going to be a Husker. At the very least, it’s hard to imagine that it wouldn’t take quite a bit to pull him away from the Cornhuskers.
Nebraska football could be about to get a commit from Missouri running back
One of the reasons why it’s a bit surprising that things are moving so quickly is because it was thought that it would be at least a two-team race for Jamarion Parker. TCU was a contender early on for no other reason than his position coach left Arkansas for the Horned Frogs.
Suddenly it looks like they might be in the rear view mirror. There is still some concern another power team could enter the fray. Alabama and USC are said to be interested. For now, all sign are pointing towards the Nebraska football team.
