Analysts foresee Nebraska football reaching 2024 bowl game
There’s all kinds of excitement over the Nebraska football team and just what might happen in the 2024 season. The Huskers are hoping that they’ll be going to a bowl for the first time since 2016. Fans believe that Matt Rhule and Dylan Raiola are the pieces that will finally get the team over the hump. The 5-star quarterback especially will hopefully be able to wake the sleeping giant.
It’s not just Nebraska fans who think Rhule and Raiola and the rest of an improving roster have the right combination to make NU a bowl contender. There are also more than a few analysts who believe that the Cornhuskers are bowl bound this season.
We can count the experts at Athlon Sports among those who think the Nebraska football team will win at least six games and make the post season for the first time since Mike Riley’s second season at the helm.
Nebraska football bowl projections for 2024
According to Athlon, a whopping 12 of the 18 teams in the new Big Ten are expected to go bowling. But if they think that will somehow diminish the importance of the Huskers being one of those 12, they are badly misjudging how much Nebraska fans miss the postseason.

All of this means that while the Nebraska football team gets to play in a New Year’s Eve game, there are three Big Ten teams headed to the playoffs. Should things play out anywhere close to this, 2024 will certainly be an interesting season.
