Never again can someone make fun of Nebraska for never winning an NCAA Tournament game, as the Huskers have defeated Troy in the first round of March Madness. On a day where the Huskers started off cold, they found life behind guard Pryce Sandfort, who was a sharp-shooter from beyond the arc.

The Huskers were able to take down the Trojans 76-47 in an absolute demolition of Troy. Both teams were in search of their first NCAA Tournament win in program history, but Nebraska came out on top in the end.

Many sports personalities are celebrating the win, while others are wondering why they bet against the Huskers in the first place, like Indiana native Pat McAfee. The notorious college football analyst is making his voice heard during March Madness, especially after Nebraska's crushing defeat over Troy.

Earlier in the week, a story was told that Troy only takes the stairs and never uses an elevator. It gave McAfee the impression that the Trojans were going to be the more physical team, but Nebraska certainly proved him and all the Husker haters wrong.

Nebraska makes history and the Husker fans are loving it

Nebraska can finally add one to the win column for its NCAA Tournament record, and it has never felt so good for the team and for the fans. Husker Nation showed up and certainly showed out as they painted Oklahoma City red fot the first round matchup.

Now with this monkey on their back, the Huskers can enjoy celebrating with their fans, who are already making their voices heard on social media.

This is a streak Nebraska was happy to beat today. Next one up is the football team's losing streak against ranked teams!

Nebraska fans are pulling out all the receipts they have when the Huskers were undefeated and proving this is the type of team they could be.

That is the face of a coach who has finally won an NCAA Tournament game with the Nebraska Cornhuskers.

Nebraska will now have to settle itself and get ready fr what could be a big second-round matchup with Vanderbilt. However, the Commodores could be on upset alert, which would make Nebraska's road even easier in the NCAA Tournament.
