This is it, folks, the first game of a long-awaited 2025 season for the Nebraska Cornhuskers, and it could not come fast enough. This season, the Cornhuskers will be hitting the road for their first game, but not necessarily into enemy territory either.

Nebraska is opening the season against a Big 12 member, the Cincinnati Bearcats, but these teams will both be traveling to Kansas City, Missouri, and are set to play in Arrowhead Stadium, home of the Kansas City Chiefs. This is just the second time ever these two teams have met, and the first since 1906. Nebraska took home the victory over 100 years and is looking to do the same this week.

Nebraska is entering its third season under head coach Matt Rhule, and it is quite the anticipated season, as this is typically when things take off with him at the helm. Quarterback Dylan Raiola will also be heading into his second season with the Cornhuskers, and this will be the perfect game to show off all that he has learned in the offseason.

Weather in Kansas City, MO

The weather come kickoff in Kansas City is set to be pretty nice with clear skies and a low of 59 degrees. However, earlier in the day, there is a chance of some showers, which could affect field conditions. This is something to watch as the week progresses. The good news is that wind shouldn't be too much of a factor in the game, so rain should be the only thing to look out for on Thursday.
