It has been a long road for Nebraska when it comes to the recruitment of 2027 five-star tight end Ahmad Hudson. While Hudson had narrowed his choices down between Nebraska and LSU, there has not been a decision yet from the five-star recruit.

Nebraska isn't giving up, though, as Matt Rhule is pulling out all the stops to try to get Hudson's commitment. Nebraska Senior Director of Player Personnel and Recruiting Keith Williams posted a photo of himself heading to the airport with a football and basketball emoji, hinting that he is heading to see Hudson, who is also a four-star basketball recruit.

Husker fans desperately want Hudson's commitment, as he could truly be a difference maker for Nebraska on the football field. Even four-star QB Trae Taylor has been doing what he can to get Hudson to Nebraska, as the two are friends and have talked about playing college football together.

The one big thing working against Nebraska in this recruitment is that Hudson is a Louisiana native, giving LSU a bit of an edge, being closer to home for him. LSU head coach Lane Kiffin is also a great recruiter, but Rhule has been diligent in this whole process.

Recently, Hudson canceled all other official visits other than Nebraska and LSU and also moved up his commitment date sooner than expected. There have been rumors that Hudson has already made a silent commitment to Kiffin and the Tigers, but Rhule isn't backing down from the fight.

Sending out Williams to Louisiana shows that Nebraska is going to continue to push for Hudson's commitment, and who knows, maybe he will even want to play some basketball for the Huskers, too, which could be music to the ears of head coach Fred Hoiberg.
