When Sam Hoiberg walked on at Nebraska for his father, Fred Hoiberg, there wasn't a lot of hope that he would play true minutes for the Cornhuskers. That all changed, though, one day when he made a real differnce one the practice squad and his father, Fred, realized he had to have his son on the court.

Since then, Hoiberg has made a real difference for Nebraska, especially this season, and now the Huskers have a chance to make program history. Nebraska is chasing its first NCAA Tournament win, and after years of disappointment, it feels like this season could be the one.

If Nebraska wants to finally get that NCAA Tournament win, there is one guy who is going to have to lead this team: Sam Hoiberg. The Nebraska senior has been clutch all season for Nebraska, and even college basketball analyst Seth Davis has seen it and named him the captain of the All-Glue team.

What is Seth Davis' All-Glue team?

Every year after Selection Sunday, Davis releases his All-Glue Team, the guys that simply hold everything together for their team, and this season, Hoiberg was named the captain. Davis spoke about how Hoiberg always just knew right where to be for the Huskers this season, and it led to Nebraska's success on the court.

Davis doesn't pick these guys just for their stats, but for the things they do that don't show up on the stat sheet. Hoiberg has been the guy who rallied the Huskers when they hit a slump after their 20-0 start, and he is the one keeping their heads high after the loss to eventual Big Ten Champion, Purdue.

Nebraska will need Hoiberg to play just like how Davis has described him if the Huskers want to not only get their first NCAA Tournament win, but keep it rolling after. Nebraska has a chance to go far in their region, even though it is a tough one, but Hoiberg has shown he can get his team going right when he needs to.
