In a season full of history, there is one more bit of history that Nebraska desperately wants to make. Even with a handful of appearances in the NCAA Tournament, the Cornhuskers have never made it past the first round, meaning they have yet to win a game in the Big Dance.
The Huskers have had a historic season, starting out 20-0 for the first time ever, and now they are a four-seed in the NCAA Tournament. Head coach Fred Hoiberg knows that all eyes will be on the Huskers and whether or not they will be able to get the monkey off their back and get their first win in the NCAA Tournament.
Even though they know everyone is watching, Hoiberg is planning to take it all one day at a time.
"We all the know the elephant in the room with our program, so all we're talking about is the result of going out and winning the film session tomorrow," Hoiberg said on CBS Sports.

Fred Hoiberg has been waiting five years to get Nebraska their first NCAA Tournament win
In five seasons with Nebraska, Hoiberg has taken the Cornhuskers from a team that was 9-50 in the first three seasons to a College Basketball Crown Champion and now a four-seed in the NCAA Tournament.
In a season full of history, the Huskers aren't done yet. In the first round, Nebraska is slated to take on Troy, a team that took USC to triple overtime during the regular season. It won't be an easy road for the Huskers as they are in a region with some heavy hitters like the Florida Gators, and even teams that already took down Nebraska, like Iowa.
It won't be easy to get the monkey off their back, but Hoiberg plans on making history yet again at Nebraska.
