It's finally here. The Nebraska football season has arrived. It's game week, and the Huskers will open the season with a ton of new faces both on the staff and on the roster. Not the least of which is quarterback Anthony Colandrea.
Week 1 sees Colandrea and the rest of his teammates taking on the Ohio Bobcats. It just so happens to be the first time the two programs have ever met on the football field. That's just one more reason why there's plenty of impetus for Husker fans to make sure they watch. Nebraska football starts the 2026 season this week. We have you covered on how to do that, as well as the early odds for the game and our predictions on how it will go.
How to watch Nebraska football vs the Ohio Bobcats
Fans won't have to wait long on Saturday morning before the Huskers are on TV. With an 11 am kickoff, NU vs. Ohio is airing on Fox Sports 1. That means the game can be watched on the FOX Sports App, FOX One, and, of course, on Fubo TV.
Nebraska football vs Ohio early odds
It should come as no surprise that Nebraska is a heavy favorite over the Bobcats. Over on FanDuel, the Huskers are currently sitting as 24.5-point favorites. The over/under for the game has been set at 47.5, meaning that not only are the Huskers supposed to win by quite a large margin but Ohio isn't expected to score many points.
Of course, when talking about a MAC team visiting Lincoln and taking on the Nebraska Cornhuskers, it's hardly surprising that oddsmakers believe a blowout is on the horizon. We agree.
Nebraska football vs Ohio early predictions
It is of course, possible that the Huskers' offense could look a little rusty considering they'll be breaking in a new starting quarterback and several new starting running backs between Mekhi Nelson, Isiaha Mozee and Jamal Rule.
On the other hand, Nebraska will want to start the season off as well as possible, given how mild the first five games on the Huskers' schedule are compared to how hard they are in the back stretch. A final score of 45-3 is not only hardly out of the question, but especially considering Ohio is also breaking in a new quarterback, and it is also our official prediction for the Week 1 showdown.
