There’s been a lot to like about what’s going on with the Nebraska football program this spring. The Huskers just had their pro day and those who took part in the workouts seemed like they made it even more clear that the NFL should take a risk on them.

There is one piece of bad news in that regard though. Huskers defensive back Tommi Hill is apparently still not healthy enough that he was able to take part in the Pro Day festivities.

Hill was very noticeably absent from Nebraska’s Pro Day. It would appear that he’s still nursing the injury that first plagued him and then ended his season early.

That’s of course, terrible news for the Nebraska football defender who at one time, looked like he might be a 1st round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Not being able to compete in either the combine or Pro Day leaves very little ways to show that he’s someone a team should take early on.

Hill has the kind of talent that will play in the NFL. But there’s got to be at least some front office execs wondering if the injury that’s sidelined him from showing what he can do is going to be an issue beyond this spring.

There’s no doubt that Tommi Hill will find himself a spot on an NFL roster. But the Nebraska football star is unfortunately almost certainly going to see a hit to his wallet, depending on if he gets drafted at all.
