Coming off a massive recruiting weekend, Nebraska made a heck of an impression on several top 2027 recruits. Among them was one rising prospect in Jeremiah Figaro, who has 18 offers and counting.

The EDGE prospect, who has started rocketing up the rankings after switching from offense to defense in the middle of last season, went on record early, saying his visit to Lincoln was "amazing." He went into a little more detail about what exactly made the visit so great when talking to Rivals' analyst Tim Verghese.

Figaro said he made connections with several Nebraska coaches, including EDGEs coach Roy Manning and defensive coordinator Rob Aurich. There was one thing that stood out for the Malden Catholic (Nashua, NH) defender when he talked to Aurich.

Jeremiah Figaro's connection with Nebraska football's Rob Aurich stood out above everything else

"He’s a partner, not a power figure, which really makes it feel like we are in it together," Figaro told Verghese.

Should the Huskers look to steal the 6-4, 205-pound EDGE original from Malden, MA, the Syracuse Orange could be the top rival. He's already taken five visits to the ACC school and is quite upbeat about the chances of Fran Brown's squad having a much better 2026 season after a disastrous 2025.

Nebraska's pursuit of Jeremiah Figaro is an interesting one because he's been so under the radar so far that he doesn't have a rating with either On3 or 247Sports. However, with teams like the Huskers, Texas Tech, Syracuse, Wisconsin, Illinois, and Virginia Tech, the defender will almost certainly rocket up the rankings in the very near future.
