While Geep Wade is officially the offensive line coach replacement for Donovan Raiola, head coach Matt Rhule expects to keep adding to the Nebraska football staff on the offensive side of the ball. In doing so, NU will also reportedly add a recruiting whiz in former South Carolina offensive line coach Lonnie Teasley to the unit.

Rhule, for the second straight year, is making quite a few changes to the makeup of his staff, despite the Huskers securing a bowl bid for the second consecutive season. Raiola, defensive coordinator John Butler, and defensive line coach Terry Bradden all got their pink slips over the last few weeks. Former San Diego State defensive coordinator Rob Aurich was hired over the weekend to replace Butler, and Bradden's replacement hasn't been named yet.

Teasley, who has been the Gamecocks' offensive line coach for most of the last four seasons, is expected to join NU's staff in a still-to-be-determined role, according to Sam McKewon of the Omaha World-Herald.

Nebraska football expected to add another offensive staffer Lonnie Teasley as overhaul continues

South Carolina head coach Shane Beamer fired Teasley in mid-October as part of a staff shakeup. He was one of several assistants let go this season as the team fought to reverse a tailspin that saw a team that opened the season in the Top 15 finish 4-8.

The Gamecocks' offense was horrid for several reasons this year. Still, Teasley is known as an ace recruiter who helped land five-star interior offensive lineman Darius Gray, who signed with South Carolina last week. He helped sign four-star offensive tackles in the 2025 and 2026 classes, as well.

Teasley is good friends with Nebraska's tight ends coach Marcus Satterfield, and is known to have a friendly relationship with Wade. He also worked for Rhule at Temple in 2014.
