Nebraska football needs one weapon to be ‘incredible’ according to analyst
Don’t count Joel Klatt among the Nebraska football naysayers. The analyst has in fact, been on the Huskers’ hype train for quite a while now. That includes being among the first to come out, and NU was still bowl-bound after their first loss of the season to Illinois.
Having said that, Klatt was not impressed by what he saw when he called the Cornhuskers’ game against Indiana. Several times during that contest, he pointed out that Nebraska receivers were having problems getting separation and giving quarterback Dylan Raiola anyone to throw to.
This week, Klatt talked about what he thinks could go a long way towards fixing a Nebraska football offense that has struggled in its last few games. And he believes the team doesn’t need a ton to get right. Simply one more weapon on the outside. A wide receiver who can give Raiola that target he was missing against the Hoosiers.

Nebraska football needs one weapon to be ‘incredible’ according to analyst Joel Klatt
“If Raiola ever got a threat [on the outside] this Nebraska team would be incredible,” Klatt said in a recent podcast.
It was thought that Nebraska has upgraded their weapons this season, with transfers Jahmal Banks (Wake Forest) and Isaiah Neyor (Wyoming & Texas) being two of the major additions to the offense. However, both players have been rather quiet the last few weeks.
Klatt’s comments do beg the question. Where does he think Nebraska football would get a new weapon he doesn’t already have at his disposal at this point in the season.
