It is once again that time of year for former Nebraska football quarterback Adrian Martinez to wow onlookers in NFL preseason games. In his first attempt of fall camp to show what he can do, the gunslinger did once again look plenty impressive as he vies for one of the last spots on the New York Jets' 53-man roster.

Martinez completed 11 of 16 passes for 152 yards and a touchdown while rushing twice for 13 yards in Saturday's 30-10 preseason win over the Packers.

Rookie Brady Cook notably came into the Jets game earlier than Martinez. Still, onlookers certainly felt as though the former Husker had the better outing, both statistically and looking like someone who could play in an NFL game that counts in a pinch.

Martinez beat out Peasley and was even elevated to the active roster when Aaron Rodgers was dealing with knee soreness before a Week Five matchup against the Minnesota Vikings
