Year 3 of the Matt Rhule era at every college he's coached has been the one where things really turn the corner. Nebraska football fans hope that will be the case in Lincoln. Still, national analyst J.D. Pickell is quite sure the Huskers' head coach will continue the successful trend.

Pickell recently posted an episode of his podcast where he quickly predicted every game on Nebraska's schedule. The end result is one that Cornhuskers fans would likely be ecstatic about. Pickell believes that when the smoke clears, NU will improve by three full games over the season that saw its first bowl game in almost a decade.

Pickell's first three predictions show the Nebraska football team getting off to a 3-0 start. It's worth noting that, although it would be the second straight year Rhule's crew has achieved this, it's a feat that's become incredibly rare in the current era of the Huskers.

Pickell then has Nebraska losing to Michigan, but following that up with four straight victories against Michigan State, Maryland, Minnesota and Northwestern. That would see NU sitting at 7-1 and already headed to a bowl.

The final four games of the season is where things get tricky and the analyst has Nebraska losing to USC, then beating UCLA, losing to Penn State and then finishing the season with a victory over Iowa.

All in all, the analyst believes the Nebraska football team will finish the regular season 9-3 and looking towards the future knowing the program has turned the corner. As Pickell put it in the title of his video, "death, taxes and Matt Rhule in Year 3." Almost any Husker fan will take that campaign for the 2025 season.
