Matt Rhule and the Nebraska football team are wasting no time trying to get the absolute best offensive linemen in the 2027 class to give the Huskers a long look. Count Jackson Roper among those who have been convinced, at least to continue thinking long and hard about NU as he's planning a spring visit to Lincoln.
Roper told Rivals' Bryan Munson over the weekend that Nebraska has made a real move for him. And while he plans out where he's going to visit ahead of his senior year, the Huskers are all but guaranteed to get him in town.
Roper last saw Nebraska in the fall when the Huskers fell just short against the Michigan Wolverines. NU made enough of an impression in that game that the big offensive lineman has Rhule's squad among the favorites.
Nebraska has made a big move for four-star IOL Jackson Roper. Roper is planning his spring, and one of his stops will include a return visit to Lincoln.

Breaking down Nebraska’s momentum with top 2027 offensive line target Jackson Roper
Roper is a 4-star prospect according to Rivals. The 6-foot-4, 290-pound IOL is the No. 14 player at his position, the No. 246 overall player in the 2027 class, and the No. 1 player in the state of Colorado.
Roper, who already stands out with advanced size and a sturdy frame for his age. He is generating attention from Power Conference teams like Colorado thanks to his combination of strength, balance, and technical maturity. Roper's film shows a young lineman who plays with a wide base, strong hands, and a finishing mentality.
Roper's recruitment has surged, with the 2027 interior offensive lineman already stacking up 21 scholarship offers from multiple Power Four programs. His blend of size, strength, and advanced technique has made him a priority evaluation across the country, drawing attention from staff who see long-term starter potential in his frame and skill set.
There's still a long way to go for Nebraska to win this recruiting battle. However, when Jackson Roper takes an official visit this spring, the Huskers will have taken a big step forward.
