Despite struggling a bit in the 2026 class, the Nebraska football team just scored another big win when it was named among the final schools by Jordan Agbanoma. Agbanoma, the No. 5 offensive lineman in the 2027 class, looks like he's getting closer to committing to a school.

The Huskers are placed alongside Texas A&M, Florida, Georgia, and Miami. Certainly, those other schools are going to be incredibly hard to beat. However, that NU is even in the running shows that Matt Rhule and his crew are definitely picking up steam when it comes to the current class.

For Nebraska, managing to land in the Top 5 for Agbanoma is also a sign that new offensive line coach Geep Wade is having a very positive effect on recruiting for his team. That was reflected in comments he's made to people close to him. The coaching staff has made the difference for the Huskers.

Why Jordan Agbanoma’s final five matters for Nebraska recruiting

The 4-star, 6-foot-4, 290-pound lineman is considered not just the No. 5 offensive lineman but the No. 89 overall player in the 2027 class, according to the Rivals Industry Rankings. He's also the No. 12 player in Georgia.

He's already taken one unofficial visit to Nebraska back in October. He watched the Huskers beat Michigan State 38-27 and saw an offensive line that really didn't look as it did against the Spartans for the rest of the year.

Agbanoma also took a couple of unofficial visits to Alabama, Georgia, and Auburn. He's now starting to set official visits, and with Nebraska being among his final five, it stands to reason they'll be getting an official soon. Coming to Lincoln for the Spring Game makes the most sense.
