The Nebraska football offseason has seen quite a bit of change. There's been a change on the staff, there's been a change on the roster, and there's most notably been a change at quarterback. With all that change, at least next year is unlikely to feature the Huskers facing off against their former starting quarterback, Dylan Raiola.
Raiola transferred to the Oregon Ducks earlier this week, and there was quite a bit of talk that he wouldn't have done that if Dante Moore was coming back. Of course, there was also plenty of talk that Raiola absolutely knew what was happening and went to play under Dan Lanning and further develop as a quarterback.
On Wednesday afternoon, the question about who would helm the Ducks in 2026 was answered. It's not the former Nebraska quarterback. Dante Moore appeared on ESPN in a LeBron James-esque segment to announce he's returning to college for one more season.

"He’s a great dude," Moore said when asked about the Huskers' former QB1, who will now be his understudy. "Of course we haven’t talked much, but just seeing him and how much he competes, I know when he comes here he’s going to be a great guy for the quarterbacks room."
"When he comes here, I want to make sure I give him my ideas and thoughts the same way Dillion Gabriel did for me. Make sure I give him the resources to make sure he’s better with his game. I know when he comes here, he won’t fall and not push me. I know he’s going to push me. We’re going to compete and have fun."
While Oregon is claiming that Raiola will be Moore's backup, there is a chance the former Nebraska QB1 will redshirt in order to have two more years of eligibility should he want them.
