This is about as close to being telegraphed as humanly possible. As soon as Dylan Raiola entered the transfer portal, he was destined to go to a great school for young impressionables. Find someone who loves you as much as Oregon Ducks head coach Dan Lanning loves him some transfer portal quarterbacks. With Raiola leaving Lincoln, it was so easy to connect the dots for him going to Eugene.

This is why Chris Hummer and Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports crystal balled Raiola to Oregon on Sunday.

Entering the final week of the transfer portal being open, Raiola ranks as the No. 5 quarterback prospect in this transfer portal cycle, as well as the No. 14 overall prospect. The former five-star quarterback out of high school has two more years of eligibility remaining. While he did make great strides in a Cornhuskers uniform, a season-ending injury and other family decisions played a factor.

The big question now is if Raiola will even start right away if he were to commit to Oregon this week.

At this point in time, the big thing to monitor with Raiola's impending decision to commit to Oregon out of the transfer portal has everything to do with his supposed predecessor, Dante Moore. Is Moore for sure entering the 2026 NFL Draft? He was widely seen as QB2 or QB3 in this upcoming draft, but could not have looked any worse in the Peach Bowl blowout to the Indiana Hoosiers last Friday night.

There is some thought that Raiola could co-exist with Moore next season. Keep in mind that Moore was a good soldier a year ago backing up fellow transfer portal quarterback Dillon Gabriel. If Raiola is open to this, then it does not really matter what Moore decides to do. As for Nebraska, Matt Rhule has landed former UNLV and Virginia starter Anthony Colandrea in the portal, as well as this familiar face...

With former Nebraska signee and Virginia backup Daniel Kaelin coming back into the fold, Rhule will have to figure out what comes next for Huskers football offensively. When Raiola was the starter, there was always hope that he could take this thing to the next level. Had he stayed, maybe it could have happened? Then again, moving on from his uncle and his brother de-commiting were big issues.

For now, Raiola seems to be well on his way to a land of a million uniform edits and zero national titles.
