Nebraska defensive back DeShon Singleton is getting ready for the next chapter in his career, but before he starts that, he wants to clear the air about the Huskers. In particular, he wants everyone to know his big regret from his final season in Lincoln.

"This season came a lot of ups and downs. You know, we started off good, started off strong with a win against Cincinnati ..." Singleton said during his appearance at the NFL Combine. "Yeah, the last end of the season, it was kind of like a bump in the road for us. We got in a slump, but I wanted to finish that stronger than I did. I feel like I kind of let Nebraska down on those last three games, us giving up that many points."

Unsurprisingly, the defensive back would say that about his final year with Nebraska. Despite transferring in, he was a Husker through and through and took the way the season finished quite personally. That finish included three straight blowout losses to Penn State, Iowa, and Utah.

Only the Utes had an offense that had proven worthy of real fear for a team that spent most of the year with one of the top pass defenses in the country.

Singleton's days with NU are effectively over, though he will participate in NU's Pro Day later this spring. He's fully focused on performing well at the combine and improving his draft stock.

He's one of only a handful of Nebraska players who even got an invite. But before he shows that he belongs as an early draft pick, he wants to clear the air and make it clear he has one big regret about the final season of his career.
