As the Nebraska football team readies itself for its regular season finale, there are plenty of Huskers playing their final game in Memorial Stadium. Among the most decorated and the most loyal is Deshon Singleton, who had a parting message for the next generation.
Singleton spoke to the media earlier this week and delivered a full-throated endorsement of Husker head coach Matt Rhule. In particular, he said that recruits on NU's radar couldn't be pursued by a better school and a better man.
"Obviously, what Coach Rule is doing here ... he's developing boys to men," the Nebraska safety said.
Deshon Singleton will make his 30th career start on Friday.

Singleton on his Nebraska experience:
"(Matt Rhule) is developing boys to men... For all the guys that are coming here that want to be a better player and better human, I feel like Nebraska is the best place for you." pic.twitter.com/BIyKvsgamY
Deshon Singleton explains why Nebraska recruits should trust Matt Rhule
"He put them out in a better situation. And I feel like this place has done that for me and for all the guys that's coming here and wanting to be a better football player and a better human. I feel like Nebraska is the best place for you."
Singleton has only gotten better every year he's played for the Huskers. In his final season in Lincoln, he's having a career year with 66 tackles, 4 passes defended, 1 sack, and 2 interceptions.
He's been named the Big Ten Player of the Week earlier this season, and he's becoming a leader off the field as well.
Now, as he enters the final days of playing for Nebraska, Deshon Singleton wants everyone to know why he not only came to the Huskers but stayed for an extra year when he could have headed to the NFL last winter. He wants other players to know the benefit of playing for Matt Rhule.
