There’s been one constant through the Deion Sanders and Matt Rhule era of Colorado and Nebraska football. The two fanbases really, really don’t like each other.

Perhaps even more than the Huskers and Buffaloes dislike each other, the people rooting for the programs have some severe problems with one another. Twitter fights over the silliest stuff has been prevalent. Even after the Huskers won the game this year. However, it looks like there’s one thing the two groups can bond over. Their dislike of the Kansas State Wildcats.

It appears there are some Nebraska football and Colorado fans who are bonding over comments one K-State analyst said leading up to the Buffs’ facing off against the Wildcats this weekend. Meanwhile the Huskers’ fans have the option of just sitting back and watching, thanks to a bye week before next week’s Indiana game.

It didn’t even take very long comments to make NU and CU fans bond. The clip of Tim Fitzgerald of GoPowerKat was shared by Colorado super fan Dalvin Truth on social media and it was short and to the point:

“They [the Buffaloes] haven' t played well this year, but as Joe said, they haven' t been really challenged. They did lose to a crappy Nebraska team…”

Nebraska football fans find a way to make up with Colorado fans

“@ all nebraksa fans …” Truth posted on Twitter. “You gon let them talk about yall like that.”

“Don’t make me pull for CU,” one Husker fan responded. “Don’t do it.”

“Please do not make me go for Colorado,” another wrote. To which Truth responded, “It’s only right in this instance.”

Other fans soon picked up the mantle of banding together.

Kansas State called arrogant.

Sko Buffs!

They don't know ball.

Didn't Kansas State get blown out?

It's an interesting position for Nebraska football fans to be in, rooting for Colorado. But when it's against Kansas State, it just feels right.
