While the Nebraska football faithful are still smarting after a close loss to USC and then the loss for the reason of Dylan Raiola, Amir Brown could deliver the salve to soothe their wounds.

Brown, a 4-star running back in the 2027 class, has taken visits to Lincoln two weekends in a row and has reportedly loved what he's seen on both trips. He arrived in Lincoln just after halftime during the win against the Northwestern Wildcats, and so wanted to get the whole picture before the contest against USC.

Analysts across On3 and Rivals pick Nebraska to land Amir Brown

Despite the loss, Nebraska apparently made quite the impression, considering Steve Wiltfong, Bryan Munson, and Sam Spiegelman all put in predictions on Sunday afternoon for the Huskers to land Brown's commitment. That was followed shortly after by Notre Dame analyst Kyle Kelly, who concurred that the Irish had lost the recruiting battle for the former North Carolina commit.

All of those predictions also followed Tim Verghese's October 30 prediction, just ahead of Brown's second straight visit. In all, five On3/Rivals analysts believe the Huskers will get a commitment from the No. 10 player in North Carolina and No. 21 running back in the 2027 class.

NU coaches have repeatedly compared Brown to Nebraska running back Emmett Johnson in private, and considering that EJ has had two fantastic games in a row, Brown seems to like what he saw.

The Huskers have made their starting running back more of a workhorse than they did at the beginning of the season. Johnson has responded by being the first Husker to rush for over 1,000 yards in a season since Devine Ozigbo in 2018.

With all the predictions coming in on Sunday afternoon, it seems like a chance that Amir Brown could pull the trigger in the next couple of days. Even if there's a wait, Nebraska football is in excellent shape for one of the better running backs in the 2027 recruiting class.
