The Nebraska football team is hosting a ton of talented players for its Junior Day and that includes at least a few guys who are committed to other teams. Chief among those who are commits with other schools is 2026 safety Devin Jackson.

The Huskers are hoping to pull Jackson away from the Sunshine State as the First Academy prospect has already committed to the Florida Gators. However, with his visit to Lincoln this weekend, it’s clear that Matt Rhule and company have at least piqued his interest.

The Nebraska football team will obviously be in quite the fight for Devin Jackson, but it looks like they’ve got a foot in the door. That’s despite knowing they’re going to have to basically fight off the entirety of the SEC if they want to land the defender.

The Huskers are far from the only team that wants to land the defensive back. Including Nebraska he’s got offers from Mississippi, Iowa State, Syracuse, South Florida, UCF, Western Kentucky, Connecticut, Florida Atlantic, Pittsburgh, Arkansas, West Virginia among many, many others.

Now the Nebraska football team will have a chance to try and steal away Devin Jackson from the Florida Gators. The fact that he’s going to be checking things out with a ton of other juniors is only going to make everything he sees look just a little bit better. He’s almost certainly not looking to leave Lincoln with a commitment to NU, but the Huskers being real contenders will definitely work
