A former Nebraska Cornhuskers baseball star got his first start of the season and was absolutely lights out. Spencer Schwellenbach was called "one to watch" for this season and he is already living up to those expectations.
His former team however, did not have a great Saturday. One day off a big upset, the Huskers couldn't find a way to follow that up with another stellar performance. In fact, they got hammered.
Spencer Schwellenbach is lights out in first start
The Atlanta Braves starter had a heck of a 2024 and it looks like he's going to improve on that in 2025. On Saturday, he threw six innings and allowed just one hit.
The former Nebraska Cornhuskers baseball star didn't get the win thanks to a lack of run support, but he still had a heck of a first outing. He's going to be one to watch this season as the Braves look to win the NL East.

Nebraska Cornhuskers get run ruled at home
The baseball team not only followed up a 7-3 win with a 16-5 loss but they allowed a ridiculous eight home runs on Saturday. They got run ruled in their home park and now will look to try and win Game 3 on Sunday afternoon, weather permitting.
Dylan Raiola shaping up
Earlier this week, starting quarterback Dylan Raiola detailed all the things he went through in order to get into the kind of shape his coaches have said he needs to do to have a better 2025.
Raiola talked about the workouts he went through and made it very clear that he did not like it. However, the Nebraska Cornhuskers star knew that he needed to reshape his body in order to have a fantastic 2025.
