The Nebraska Cornhuskers football team has talked quite a bit about how impressed it's been with the offensive line. One of the things that have made the coaches so happy about the job the revamped offensive line has done is that they can mix and match and shift starters without missing a beat.
- When offensive coordinator Dana Holgorsen met with the media on Tuesday, he said Tree Babalade might be working his way into the rotation. That's welcome news surrounding the transfer, considering that he looked like a starter in fall camp. He then lost the job once the season rolled around.
- Babalade “had his best game, which increased his reps,” Holgorsen said. “I think you’ll start seeing that happen more. We didn’t feel the need to put Gunnar on the left side because Pritch probably had his best game since he’s been here. There weren't any hiccups. Sometimes, you know, our plan was that if there was a hiccup or a missed assignment, or something like that, we’d pull them out, and I didn’t feel like we had to do that.”

- The Nebraska Cornhuskers coaches have talked quite a bit this week about how Maryland might have lost 54-3 to UCLA, but that doesn't make the Terrapins an easy game for the Huskers this Saturday. Defensive coordinator Rob Aurich spoke at length about the Terps' ability to play at tempo. Considering the Huskers had trouble stopping Michigan State when it started to move the ball quickly, Aurich came up with plans he hopes will help the defense perform better against a talented quarterback like Malik Washington.

However, while he was planning to visit Georgia last weekend, he canceled the trip and talked about Nebraska as though he was now locked in and shutting down his recruitment. That's a big win for Matt Rhule and Co.
- After Dylan Raiola filled in for an injured Dante Moore last weekend, Nebraska head coach Matt Rhule addressed their relationship and made it clear that he's rooting for his former quarterback. His comments on Monday likely fueled talk of a feud between him and the Raiola family. That's one story NU can now move on from.
- Fresh from the Michigan State game, some Nebraska Cornhuskers media members were far from friendly about the Spartans' fan base and how dialed in they are to Pat Fitzgerald's program. Steve Sipple and Jake Sorensen talked on a local radio program about the lack of excitement around the new coach and what he's trying to do. Incidentally, that drew some ire from Michigan State supporters.
