The Nebraska Cornhuskers football team found out what time it will play its Halloween Blackout game against Washington. It seems only fitting that the game is at night. That will make things plenty spooky and those black jerseys look especially cool. The game will be broadcast on the Big Ten, which has been good luck so far for the Huskers this season.

Nebraska is 2-0 on BTN this season with wins over North Dakota and at Michigan State.

Times and TV info are set for Nebraska’s games at Illinois on Friday, November 6 (7 p.m., FOX) and Iowa on Friday, November 27 (11 a.m., CBS) while broadcast and TV info for games against both Rutgers (Nov. 14) and Ohio State (Nov. 21) will be announced either 12 or six days in advance of kickoff.

Halloween could be a big day for the Big Ten, with the Nebraska Cornhuskers closing out a heck of a lineup:

11 a.m. CT - Wisconsin at Iowa – FOX
11 a.m. CT – Illinois at Maryland – FS1
11:30 a.m. CT - Michigan at Rutgers – BTN
2:30 p.m. CT - Minnesota at Indiana – CBS
2:30 p.m. CT - Northwestern at Oregon – Peacock
3:15 p.m. CT – Purdue at Penn State – BTN
3:15 p.m. CT – Nevada at UCLA – BTN
6:30 p.m. CT - Ohio State at USC – NBC
7 p.m. CT – Washington at Nebraska – BTN

National news around the Nebraska Cornhuskers

  • Central Michigan head coach Matt Drinkall gave one of the better answers about the dangers of how the sport has changed over the last few years. He gets bonus points in an otherwise great response by bringing up the Lorax.
  • The Michigan Wolverines have officially made a change at starting quarterback ahead of its game against Indiana this weekend. Bryce Underwood, one of the most hyped QB prospects of the NIL era is benched and Tommy Carr, who was once committed to Miami of Ohio will start for Kyle Whittingham's team.
  • Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts is expected to miss the rest of the 2026 NFL season after doctors discovered multiple blood clots in his lungs, sources told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and ESPN's Adam Schefter. Hurts' issues started with a superficial blood clot in the leg but got much worse quickly. Nebraska fans certainly know how blood clots can end a football career. Hopefully that's not the case with Hurts.

More Nebraska Cornhuskers news

  • Ohio State became the latest Nebraska Cornhuskers opponent to lose its starting quarterback for an extended period. Julian Sayin hurt his shoulder against Indiana, and head coach Ryan Day said his absence is "indefinite." Sayin could miss the season; he'll likely miss the Husker game at least.
  • Anthony Colandrea has avoided the injury bug that's struck the Big Ten, but Nebraska hasn't stayed totally healthy. In fact, the Huskers' running back room is quite thin. Earlier this week, head coach Matt Rhule said that fullback Vincent Genatone is out for the season and running back Isaiah Mozee is out for "a while." Add in that Jamal Rule has missed parts or all of three games this year, including Oregon, and the bye week couldn't come at a better time.
  • Nebraska Cornhuskers volleyball players Teraya Sigler and Olivia Mauch earned Big Ten weekly conference awards on Monday. Sigler earned Big Ten Player of the Week, while Mauch earned Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week.
