As the Nebraska Cornhuskers start fall camp, there are several players that are missing time. Among that group, all eyes are on backup running back Kwinten Ives.

Because the running back room is rather thin this year, Ives having to leave practice early on Monday is not great. After practice head coach Matt Rhule said that they don't believe it was all that serious. However, there hasn't been an update about his health since then.

Rocco Spindler makes PFF All Big Ten

Pro Football Focus released its All Big Ten team earlier this week, and there was only one Nebraska Cornhuskers player on the squad. That it was Rocco Spindler is at least good news.

Spindler came to Nebraska in the offseason from Notre Dame. Head coach Matt Rhule knew that he wanted to get an offensive lineman from the National Championship runner-up, and he went out and got his man.

Nebraska Cornhuskers defensive line playing with a chip on their shoulders

For the most part, it feels like most people are expecting the Huskers' defensive line to be pretty uneven in 2025. However, the guys who are manning the defensive front both know that and don't appreciate the expectations. Cameron Lenhardt strode to the podium and made it clear how he and his teammates feel.

"We’ve got a little chip on our shoulder, you know what I mean?" One of those Nebraska Cornhuskers linemen, said. “I think we’ve got great leadership with Coach TB (Terry Bradden) coming in there. He’s definitely preached a lot and told us a lot since he’s been here. I’ve got a lot of confidence in our group, and we’re going to go out there and perform.”
