If there was any doubt in Nebraska 2027 quarterback commit Trae Taylor's ability to play football, there certainly isn't any now. Taylor is currently competing in OverTime's 7v7 football league this summer, and has been showing off, but nothing has been better than the pass he threw during former Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders' interview.
While Sander was being interviewed during the game, Taylor was on offense and had 3rd and goal to go for his team in the first half. Taylor received the snap and dropped back to pass. His wide receiver, Bryan Hamilton, who recently committed to Pitt in their Class of 2026, was in his route through the back of the endzone, and Taylor through an absolute dime of a pass to the young wideout.
Taylor threaded the needle through two defenders, keeping the ball just out of the reach of both safeties and right into the hands of Hamilton. The pass was for a touchdown adn as soon as it was caught, cheers were heard throughout he interview from Sanders, praising Taylor for his pass.

Trae Taylor is ready to take over at Nebraska after Dylan Raiola
Even as a young gunslinger, Taylor is showing his talent early in his recruitment. Even though many 2027 prospects don't announce their commitments this early in their recruitment, Taylor has said that Nebraska is the place for him, and he is ready to take over for Dylan Raiola when the time is right.
With Raiola returning for another season at Nebraska, the Cornhuskers have the quarterback position locked up for another year or two, depending on how long Raiola chooses to stick around before heading to the NFL. After Raiola, though, as long a Taylor stays committed, the Cornhuskers have quite the gunslinger coming in.
Taylor has even said that he has been in contact with Raiola and has been learning from him early in his recruitment, and has even learned a lot just from watching him on the field. Taylor already seems ready to take over a program, so imagine what two years of growth and improvement will bring him.
