Ahead of the annual rivalry tilt with Creighton, the Nebraska basketball team has impressed national analysts with its 8-0 start of the season. While the Blue Jays aren't as good as they've been in the past, they've got a chance to further impress the analysts with a Sunday afternoon victory.
Even before they play CU, the Huskers are making people think they've got to be an NCAA Tournament lock. Just how and where they'll get in is up for debate, but two of the biggest Bracketologists in the sport both have NU safely in. Not on the bubble, safely in.
ESPN's Joel Lunardi's latest update currently has Nebraska as the No. 8 seed in the West bracket. He's pegged the Huskers to take on the SMU Mustangs as the No. 9 seed.

National bracketologists slot Nebraska comfortably inside the NCAA Tournament field
Should NU manage to get its first-ever NCAA Tournament win, it'll likely have to take on Arizona in the second round. Meanwhile, the Blue Jays are in for a rough year, according to Lunardi, who has them listed among the First Four Out.
Sporting News college basketball columnist Mike Decourcy has Nebraska looking even better. He clearly believes their 8-0 start is very real, and they'll even be able to make some serious noise in a very talented Big Ten conference.
Decourcy's latest bracket has the Huskers as a No. 4 seed, paired up against Miami (O) as the No. 13 seed. Should they win their first-ever NCAA Tournament game, they'll take on the winner of Kansas vs Yale.
It's very early yet, obviously. But Nebraska has so far impressed analysts with how it's handled things. Now the Huskers need to keep it going and lock in an NCAA Tournament bid.
