Just ahead of the Nebraska basketball team’s Senior Day on Sunday, one of the best to ever play for the program has offered his thanks and said his goodbyes.
It’s a safe bet that Brice Williams’ final season hasn’t gone the way he hoped. When he and Juwan Gary announced they were returning for the 2024-25 season, they likely thought they were going to be the guys who led the Huskers to their first NCAA Tournament win. Now it’s looking like they might not even get back to the Big Dance after a late February and early March swoon that’s seen them lose five of their last six (two of those to teams they had no business losing to).
While Brice Williams’ couldn’t have thought this was how his Nebraska basketball career was ending, he still made it clear that he had a lot of thanks to give to the Cornhuskers faithful, while also offering his goodbyes ahead of NU’s final home game of the season.

Brice Williams says goodbye and thank you to Nebraska basketball faithful
“Husker Nation,” Williams wrote on X. “It’s been an honor to play for you. Nebraska is now forever a part of me. I just want to say thank you for believing in me and thank you for encouraging me. I wouldn’t be where I am today without this place. I am forever indebted to all of you.”

The Nebraska basketball program is also indebted to Williams.
The fifth-year senior guard has done everything he could to try and put the Nebrasketball team on his back in a year where so few have really stepped up. He’s currently 13th in the entire nation in scoring with 20.4 points per game and in his last outing he scored an insane 43 points while playing all but one minute in a double-overtime loss to Ohio State.
He’s got one more regular season game for the Nebraska basketball team and he’ll be doing everything he can lead the Huskers to victory over Iowa and try and give his squad one more chance at making the Big Dance. Qualifying for the Big Ten Tournament is the first step.
