Braden Frager finally looks like he's all the way back from an ankle sprain. Unfortunately, now that he's back to looking like one of the best freshmen in the Big Ten, Nebraska basketball fans are starting to get worried that he might be looking to go elsewhere next season.
Frager himself has obviously not made any comments about his plans, nor has anyone asked, as there's still plenty of games left to play in this season. However, one eagle-eyed Reddit Husker fan noticed the young forward might have given everyone a social media hint.
The hint comes from Frager's Instagram account, where one Nebraska fan noticed that the Husker reposted a picture of a player running on the field with the caption, "how transferring to a different school is talking to me right now."

The concern, of course, is that Frager is already planning on hitting the transfer portal and getting away from the Cornhuskers before he's even done with his redshirt freshman season.
To some degree, this is simply the story of the NIL and Transfer Portal era. However, NU would be more than willing to pay Frager his asking price to keep him in Lincoln next season. That he's expressing excitement over transferring, even if it's low-key and not direct, is a cause for concern.
It's hard to know why exactly he'd want to go to another school. Frager played his high school ball at Lincoln Southwest, so he's playing ball in his hometown and doing it well. Nebraska is also having one of its best seasons in the program's history. It could reload and repeat that success in 2026-27.
Whether Braden Frager simply found the post funny or whether he was sending a message will come to light in the next few months. Nebraska fans have to be hoping the repost wasn't a hint.
