Nebraska baseball star Tucker Timmerman is becoming a bit of a legend in social media circles. Timmerman appeared as a reliever in one of the Huskers’ first games of the year against the Vanderbilt Commodores and for the most part, pitched quite well.
However, it wasn’t how he pitched out of the pen that garnered the Husker hurler headlines. It was the fact that during the outing, he took a comebacker to the face on a scary play that saw him collapse to the ground and stay down for quite a while.
Eventually, the Nebraska baseball star was able to get up under his own power, and in behavior that really started to make him into a legend, once he was on his feet, he tried to fire up the crowd with blood visibly pouring out his nose and bruising already forming. Adding to the legend was the fact that the Huskers were able to get the out. Timmerman’s notoriety rose to new level earlier this week when the popular baseball account Jomboy started reposting the video of Timmerman getting hit by the batted ball.

Nebraska baseball star Tucker Timmerman becoming a college legend
On Twitter, Jomboy posted the video with the caption: “Pitcher fired up after taking a grounder to the face, a breakdown.”
The breakdown starts off with the way the inning started and then quickly moved to when Timmerman got hit in the face. The video even talked about how the pitcher’s face looked before and after the comebacker.
Timmerman has been sidelined for at least a couple of weeks as the Nebraska baseball pitcher recovers from surgery to … fix his face. When he does return to the Cornhuskers, it’s clear he’s going to get a hero’s welcome.
