Matt Rhule 'hates' where this Nebraska offensive aspect is ahead of Michigan matchup

While there was plenty for Nebraska football head coach Matt Rhule to like about his team's second straight blowout win, there was also plenty to take issue with. That's the way things should be when the Huskers play an opponent of the caliber of the Houston Christian Huskies. The game is more about seeing what needs to be improved than winning or losing, no matter how big a blowout it is.

Even in games where the Huskers scored 68 and 59 points, as well as just 20 in Week 1, there are things he doesn't want the offense to do in Week 4 that they did repeat after the win over Cincinnati.

In assessing how the Nebraska football team's offense performed, Rhule said that he liked a lot of what he saw. However, he "hates" where Nebraska's scramble drill is right now on offense. He said quarterbacks were running around and guys weren't getting open.

What Matt Rhule hated and loved from Nebraska football's latest win

That's been an issue, one of the only issues he's seen from a unit that's been explosive, whether Dylan Raiola or TJ Lateef has been running it.

However, on the flip side, one of Rhule's most pleasant surprises was how high a standard his team was holding itself to despite some lopsided wins. He said all of the players were disappointed with themselves at halftime despite leading 38-0. Some of that on offense likely had to do with the chance to make the lead even bigger just before the break, where they failed to move the ball.

In that vein, Rhule also said that he liked where his players' heads were at as far as putting this win behind them and getting ready for Michigan. The Nebraska football head coach added that quarterback Dylan Raiola was already starting game prep for next week after he was done playing on Saturday.
