It feels like Nebraska football’s recruiting is starting to heat up in a big way in June. Specifically, June 20 could be a massive day for the Huskers with a couple of targets visiting and tight end prospect Luke Sorensen announcing his commitment. One recruiting analyst now believes that when Sorensen pulls the trigger, he’ll pull it for the Huskers.

Sorensen is one of the many Cornhuskers targets who came to Lincoln in the last few weeks to see what Matt Rhule and his staff have to offer. As with everyone else who paid a visit, he came away quite impressed.

Now, 247Sports analyst Mike Schaeffer has put in a Crystal Ball for Nebraska football, believing that Sorensen’s recent comments were enough to steer him to play his college days with the Huskers.

Sorensen told anyone who would listen that he had a fantastic time on his look-see at Lincoln. He even seemingly struck up a friendship with quarterback commit Trae Taylor as they talked about possibly hitting up a Runza and getting the rather original fare the restaurant offers.

It’s also not a mystery why Nebraska would want to reel in the talented tight end with offers from schools like Penn State and Ole Miss.

Interestingly, it doesn’t appear the fight for Sorensen is nearly over. Last month, the Nittany Lions got a Crystal Ball prediction in their direction. However, the Nebraska football analyst believes Luke Sorensen is headed to Lincoln, which could mean Matt Rhule and company nailed it in their recruiting approach
