The Nebraska football didn’t get into the fight for Larry Miles all that long ago, but it looks like Matt Rhule and company made a strong impression quickly. Now it appears that the 4-star wide receiver plans on giving the Huskers his final official visit before he pulls the trigger on his commitment.

The Huskers really only came onto the radar of the Cornhuskers earlier this month when he took an unofficial visit to Lincoln on June 2. The only reason the general public knew he was in town was that he posted on social media that he’d landed.

Now, a social media post is once again shedding light on his plans. Miles posted July 1 with three siren emojis, almost certainly meaning he’s announcing his commitment that day. This means that Nebraska football will get the final chance to make their case as he plans to take an official visit on June 20.

It can’t be stated enough how good it looks for the Huskers to get two visits from the 4-star wide receiver, according to On3 Industry rankings. While some recruiting services consider him a marginal 4-star or even 3-star receiver, Nebraska has clearly pinpointed him as someone who would be a great fit for Dana Holgorsen’s offense.

Miles averaged 17.7 yards per catch last season at Orlando Jones High School. He posted 68 catches for 1,204 yards and 10 touchdowns last season for Jones, which lost in the Florida Class 4A state title game last season to another Florida powerhouse, American Heritage High School.

Now, with a visit on the horizon that will wrap up his recruiting, the Nebraska football team has to feel very, very good about its chances of landing Larry Miles to kick off July.
