Nebraska softball has put together nearly a perfect regular season and will now head to the NCAA Tournament, hosting a Regional, and has set itself up to host a Super Regional as long as they make it through.
It has been a season to remember for this season, from big hits to big outs, but one player truly laid it all out on the field, loving that she was able to do it in her home state. After transferring from Oklahoma, Jordyn Bahl, known as Jordyn Frahm after getting married before the 2026 season, was a jack of all trades for Nebraska, earning her quite the comparison to one MLB superstar.
Jordy Frahm receives Shohei Ohtani comparison as a two-way player
Frahm has been used by Nebraska in many different ways on the field, mainly as a pitcher, at first base, and, of course, a hitter. Frahm ended the season with an 18-4 record and a 1.24, but with a team-high 10 saves, showing she could come in for the Huskers at any point in the game.
As a hitter, Frahm finished the season with a .426 batting average, 1.392 on-base percentage, 72 hits, 19 home runs, and 50 RBIs. During the selection show on Sunday, one station compared Frahm to MLB superstar Shohei Ohtani, a pitcher, who has one of the best bats for the Los Angeles Dodgers.
"I heard... on (a) college sports station... one of the commentators compared Jordy Frahm to Shohei Ohtani."

Amid Nebraska softball's dominant 2026 season, it's hard not to see the comparisons between the Husker pitcher and the four-time MLB MVP winner.

What a comparison this is for Frahm, as Ohtani is widely considered the best player in the MLB, being a lockdown pitcher as well as such a dangerous threat at the plate. Frahm has been exactly that for Nebraska this season
Frahm led the pitching staff at Nebraska in nearly every category, as well as Husker hitters, proving what an asset she has been for Nebraska. Grahm is a player that Husker fans will be sad to see go, but she still has some unfinished business to handle in the NCAA Tournament.
