After Emmett Johnson did what he did against UCLA, the Nebraska football running back is finally catching the eyes of national analysts. Johnson is second in the country in rushing; he leads the nation in total yards and didn't get much mention until Saturday night.
Finally, after a game when he ran for 100 yards and had 100 yards receiving, it seems like people are realizing just how good he could be. Huskers head coach Matt Rhule said he thinks EJ will be in the NFL next year. And at halftime of the Cornhuskers' 28-21 win over the Bruins, Fox Sports anchors were blown away by what he'd already done in the first two quarters.

On3's Pete Nakos took to social media to give the Husker running back some plaudits, saying, "In hindsight, the biggest offseason win for Matt Rhule was convincing Emmett Johnson to stay at Nebraska and never officially enter the transfer portal."
One of the leading stat keepers of college and professional football performances, Pro Football Focus, summed it up simply by saying that Emmett Johnson is "so, so good."
After rushing for 129 yards and notching 103 yards through the air, Emmett Johnson has truly brought himself to the forefront of national attention. One has to wonder what happens if he closes out Nebraska's season the way he's played over the last few weeks.
