With a Week 1 win and nearly 250 passing yards under his belt, Nebraska quarterback Dylan Raiola has once again started the season on the right note.

In the Nebraska Cornhuskers' season opener against the Cincinnati Bearcats, Raiola threw for 243 yards and two touchdowns, finding two different targets in the end zone: transfer wideouts Dane Key and Nyziah Hunter.

The touchdown to Hunter came with less than a minute left in the second quarter, and it was far from an easy catch, as Raiola led him to the corner of the end zone, over the Cincinnati defender. Simply put, the Nebraska quarterback had all the faith in the world in his receiver.

"Never thrown that one in my life... we were kind of in a two-minute situation and the clock was runnin' down," Raiola said as he explained his thought process on the play. "I look out there and it's one-on-one, and I'm gonna trust my guy to make a play."

That guy? Nyziah Hunter

"You saw, exactly, that he went up there and made a beautiful play," Raiola concluded.

Hunter finished the game with six receptions for 65 yards to lead the Cornhuskers in receiving on the day, followed by Key, who had six receptions for 51 yards and the touchdown.

Key and Hunter both transferred to Nebraska this offseason, adding the much-needed power to the Cornhuskers' receiving room. Hunter transferred after spending one season with the Cal Golden Bears, and Key transferred after spending three seasons with the Kentucky Wildcats.

Last season, Key earned 715 yards and two touchdowns on 47 receptions for Kentucky. Hunter, who was a redshirt freshman last year, earned an impressive 578 yards and five touchdowns on just 40 receptions for Cal.

This Saturday, Raiola, Key, and Hunter will host the Akron Zips in Lincoln. Nebraska and Akron are scheduled to kick off at 6:30 p.m. CT on the Big Ten Network.
