Dylan Raiola offers Wisconsin some bulletin board material with bowl talk

The Nebraska football quarterback showed the confidence fans love to see, but the Badgers will almost certainly take note of Dylan Raiola's comments.

Following another crushing Nebraska football loss, it was good to hear Dylan Raiola showing some real confidence. If that confidence translates to the field next week, Husker fans might be in for a nice little treat when the former 5-star quarterback and his teammates take on the Wisconsin Badgers.

On the other hand, if Raiola shows the same kind of struggles he did against USC at times, including sliding short of a first down on fourth and short, missing a wide open receiver near the end zone, and throwing an interception right to the defender, it’s going to be a long day.

It’s going to be an even longer day should Wisconsin hold what Raiola said Saturday evening about the Nebraska football team’s next opponent. “We’re only going to keep building on it these next two weeks. We’ll get the win this week and get us to a bowl.”

Dylan Raiola confident in his Nebraska football teammates after 4th straight loss

The Huskers need the win this coming Saturday and if they get it, they do indeed go to a bowl. And finally doing that on their final home game of the season would certainly be a good time.

But Wisconsin just gave No. 1 Oregon everything the Ducks could handle. The Badgers might just be 5-5 like NU, but it feels like they’ve been a tougher out for most of the season.

And now they’re going to read that statement and put it up in the locker room and look at it all week.

You can’t blame Dylan Raiola. He’s a young, talented kid who isn’t used to this kind of losing. To this kind of frustration. And he knows the Nebraska football fans especially are getting very antsy. But he and his teammates better back up the unusually brash talk.
