The Nebraska football team is massive, massive underdogs to Ohio State this Saturday. After the disaster that was the Indiana game last weekend, there are few Husker fans who are giving the team much of a chance of winning.
Of course, even before that 56-7 loss, the Huskers weren’t given much chance of winnin this game. Even when NU was undefeated and heading to a game against Illinois, Ohio State was the game that many people pointed to as the probable first blemish on the record.
Having said all of that, Nebraska football quarterback Dylan Raiola said all the right things this week leading up to the contest against the team he was once committed to. If he can carry out his plans, NU just might have a chance to not get blown out, at the very least.
Nebraska football quarterback Dylan Raiola says all the right things
In talking about what exactly happened against Indiana, he made it clear things snowballed for the Huskers:
“It’s just little things here and there that kind of get you in the big games. I think just cleaning up the little things. We have another opportunity this week to improve and go 1-0.”
On the other hand, the signal-caller claimed when he loses a game like that, he tries to just deal with it and move on:
“I don’t think it’s difficult. It’s not like it’s our last game of the season. We got punched in the mouth and it’s as simple as that. Adjust the issues, fix them and move on. It stung. It stung for the weekend.”
We’ll see whether that mindset this week can translate to a surprising outcome on Saturday morning for the Nebraska football team. The degree of difficulty includes the fact that Raiola is playing on a gimpy ankle.
