Clip of Dylan Raiola describing his relationship with Patrick Mahomes is incredible

Dylan Raiola certainly could win a Patrick Mahomes, but their relationship is no laughing matter.

If it has been said once, it has been said a million times: Dylan Raiola is almost a spitting image of Kansas City Chiefs star quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Raiola may play into a similar took as well with the headband, and a similar pre-game hype move, but it's all in good fun. Raiola is forming a real relationship with the star QB.

In an interview on the Cover 3 Podcast, Raiola talked a bit about his relationship with his lookalike, Mahomes, and while everyone wants to point fun at it, Raiola is taking it seriously. Raiola said that while he isn't comparing himself to the late Kobe Bryant, Raiola said that the NBA star shaped his game after the NBA GOAT Michael Jordan, so why would Raiola not want to shape his game after one of the greatest, if not the greatest, quarterbacks in football right now?

"What Kobe did to Mike, that's kind of what it is for me to Patrick," Raiola said in his interview.

Raiola doesn't just have an infatuation with Mahomes; the two have spoken, and Raiola said he and the star QB do talk on occasion, with Mahomes giving Raiola advice on things. For a young quarterback like Raiola to have a relationship like that with such a great quarterback like Mahomes is huge for Raiola's game, but also just navigating his football career.

The Nebraska quarterback did poke fun at the comparisons a little bit, saying they are all outside comparisons, and he can't control that God made him look the way he does and play the same sports.

"It's all love, football's a great game, it provides great opportunities for everybody," Raiola said. "So, it's pretty cool."

Well, the comparisons will continue for Raiola and Mahomes, but if you are going to be compared to an NFL quarterback, there are worse ones to be compared to than a 3-time Super Bowl champion.
