The Nebraska Cornhuskers are officially looking for a new quarterback as Jeff Sims is expected to enter the transfer portal this week.
It was hardly a surprise when the news broke. At the same time, it was bitter sweet.
Jeff Sims is expected to enter the transfer portal this week officially. That means its the end to one of the strangest chapters of Nebraska Cornhuskers history.
There have been some odd chapters in the program’s history.
Sims arrived in Lincoln as a transfer from Georgia Tech who was expected to run Marcus Satterfield’s offense in a way that meant a Huskers bowl game. Sims got off to a disastrous start, got injured, came back, and had some more disastrous outings.
Nebraska has made no secret of the fact that they’re looking for another starter in the transfer portal this year. And because of this past season, and Rhule and company being on the lookout for more talent, Sims is headed out the door.
After the Jeff Sims news broke Husker Nation weighed in on quarterback’s departure.
