Marcus Satterfield has never been one of the favorites among Nebraska football fans, but on Friday, they really let the Husker OC have it.
The Nebraska Cornhuskers saw the first season under Matt Rhule come to a very disappointing end on Friday afternoon. Despite the head coach not delivering on what many thought was great promise for his first season after a 5-3 start, his popularity hasn’t taken much of a hit.
The same can’t be said for his offensive coordinator. Marcus Satterfield has been on a hotseat almost since the first day he was hired. Don’t tell that to his boss though.
Despite offensive struggles this season, Rhule has made it clear that Satterfield won’t be fired. It doesn’t seem like he’ll be demoted either.
Of course, Rhule’s comments came when the Nebraska football team was still positioned for a bowl appearance. He also made those comments before Husker fans turned the entirety of their rage at Satterfield the way they did on Friday night.
Nebraska Cornhuskers fans want someone to pay for the seventh straight season with no bowl game. Even if there were plenty of people who warned them that Rhule’s rebuilds tend to take longer than they might like.
Nebraska football fans want Marcus Satterfield gone
Nebraska fans have had more than enough of watching the Huskers OC’s offense. But this man took his dislike to a whole other level.
One X(Twitter) user might have dished out the ultimate insult to Satterfield.
One social media user has a whole plan for what the Nebraska football team needs to do to improve for 2024.
South Carolina fans are just hoping that Husker fans are ok after having to put up with this particular offensive coordinator for a year.
Finally, this Nebraska football fan doesn’t understand why Tony White was able to have the success he did this year while the offense has been such a mess.
The season ended less than 24 hours ago so any Nebraska football fans hoping to hear about movement today are almost certainly out of luck. It will be interesting to watch this space, however.
