The Nebraska Football team has officially started putting down the building blocks for future classes with an offer to 2026 QB, Noah Grubbs.

The 2023 Nebraska Football quarterback group can most conversatively be called a “mess.” It appears that head coach Matt Rhule and company are trying to make sure that’s not the case any season after this one.

The Huskers have their QB of the future in 2024 in Bellevue West’s Daniel Kaelin. It appears they’re close to their 2025 quarterback in Iowa’s Alex Manske.

Now the Cornhuskers are laying the foundation for even further into the future. Rhule and his staff, more specifically Adam DiMichele, have doled out an official offer to one of the best quarterbacks in the 2026 class. Noah Grubbs announced he’d gotten an official offer.

Grubbs is still years away from playing for big-time programs like Nebraska Football. That hasn’t stopped big-time programs from coming calling.

The 6-foot-4 signal-caller from Lake Mary, Florida is racking up FBS and Power 5 offers. Auburn, Michigan, Notre Dame, Miami and Central Florida are just a few of the P5 schools that are vying for Noah Grubbs’ attention.

Now the Huskers are in the mix as well.

Just how strong their footing is, remains to be seen. In-state schools going after the young quarterback have already made strong impressions.

Nebraska Football offers Top 100 prospect Noah Grubbs

Back in September, he spoke to Rivals about a visit to see the Hurricanes and it was clear that he loved what he had to see.

"“I loved the atmosphere and I can absolutely see myself in coach (Shannon) Dawson’s offense. I love how aggressive he is in play calling.”"

The one thing that stands out more than most when it comes to the Nebraska Football team and their offer to Grubbs is that it doesn’t appear his play style really fits into what the Huskers have been doing this year.

One need only look at Lake Mary’s most recent game. In a 42-38 win, Grubbs put it up 49 times, threw for 510 yards and 5 touchdowns but carried the ball just four times for -7 yards. Those numbers are far from outlier type stats.

On the season he has over 3,500 yards passing, a school record 49 TD passes and just four rushing touchdowns.

Whether Nebraska Football starts pursuing pass-only quarterbacks in the near future will be something to watch from here on out.
