As Desmond Howard continues to make excuses for Michigan, a former Nebraska Football star has waded into the debate to call out his hypocrisy.
As the soap opera involving the Wolverines and its head coach breaking rules and then acting like the victims continue, Michigan fans and alumni continue making absolute fools of themselves. At the head of that less than inspiring mob is the ESPN analyst and former Heisman winner.
In the last few weeks, Howard has already come under fire for his pleas not to “rush to judgement” about the Michigan cheating scandal. Now a former Nebraska Football star has waded into the situation, calling out Howard and pointing out that he hasn’t exactly been a voice for rational thought in the past.
The incident occurred when Howard once again tried to claim that Michigan detractors are in a rush to convict Harbaugh before all the facts have been presented.
“As additional facts come to light,” Howard wrote on Twitter. “We’ve seen the danger of rushing to judgment. There is a process in place that should be adhered to. And it is one that every single member of the Big 10 would insist on following too if targeted with similar allegations.”

An ex-Husker kicker had apparently had enough after Howard’s latest comments. Drew Brown, a place kicker from back when Husker kickers were always among the best in the country, put the ESPN analyst on blast.
“Did you rush to judgement in 2020 when Nebraska and others wanted to play football,” Brown wrote in a quote tweet of Howard’s words. “Wot waiting for additional facts to come to light? I can’t remember.”
Brown of course, can remember. He remembers Desmond Howard claimed that Nebraska should be kicked out of the Big Ten because they wanted to play games as the COVID pandemic raged on.
The Nebraska Football program eventually got its way as the Big Ten did play a conference only slate and most of college football did the same.
