Yet another Nebraska Cornhuskers opponent has found a way to embarrass themselves in what has been a year of Big Ten scandals from all over.

Is there a team in the Big Ten that would like to stay away from some sort of scandal this year? Please raise your hand. It seems like we can’t even got a few days without somebody in the conference doing something stupid.

The latest kerfuffle comes by way of the Maryland Terapins, who coincidently were one of the only Nebraska Cornhuskers opponent who hadn’t done that yet. On Monday night, it was reported that Maryland co-offensive coordinator Kevin Sumlin was arrested for drunk driving over the weekend.

This was of course, the same weekend that Michigan State decided to show a trivia question about Adolf Hiter on their scoreboard. The Spartans of course, are the same school that is still dealing with the fallout of firing their coach because he masturbated while on a phone call with a rape survivor.

This weekend was a bad one in general for the Big Ten as news also broke that Michigan had been engaging in sign stealing and scouting that is very much against NCAA rules. That scandal keeps getting worse, in no small part because head coach Jim Harbaugh’s claims he knew nothing about it seems like a pretty big lie.

Nebraska Cornhuskers see another scandal in their conference

The Nebraska Cornhuskers haven’t even been able to keep their nose entirely clean. You might remember that the Huskers’ tight end coach had to be fired just ahead of the season for a drunk driving offense of his own. At least in that instance, Matt Rhule acted quickly and made sure it was clear it wasn’t acceptable.

It’s unclear at this point what Maryland will do about their own coach reportedly driving under the influence. The Terps take on the Nebraska Cornhuskers on November 11.
