While most people are going to be settling down to watch Nebraska football against Michigan, there are others who will only be able to listen on the radio. We have how you can do it.

Nebraska football games on Saturday afternoons in the fall have been a staple longer than anyone has been alive. For most of the Huskers’ existence, listening to their games on the radio has been the same kind of staple.

Back when I was a kid (and even when I was a young adult) I listened to Nebraska football games far more than I watched them. Sometimes it was because the games simply weren’t on television.

It’s hard for this generation of Nebraska football fans to imagine an era when Husker games were on TV. The fact of the matter is that having games guaranteed on TV (or streaming these days) weren’t guaranteed until the Huskers joined the Big Ten.

So I’d go outside and throw the football around and have the Nebraska football team on the radio. While that practice might be a little outdated these days (especially throwing the football around as a 48-year-old man) for those who might not be able to settle down in front of their computer or television can still catch the game against Michigan.
