The Nebraska Cornhuskers football team announced that the injury bug has finally hit the team pretty hard with varying degrees of severity.

The Nebraska football team is now 10 days into fall camp and it’s officially that time of year when injuries start to take their toll. The Huskers announced several injuries after practice on Tuesday with one of them sidelining a player for the rest of the year.

Unfortunately, the latest injury report included several wide receivers. Marcus Washington, who started camp with a broken hand, was said to be back from that, but has a new undisclosed injury. Zavier Betts and Malachi Coleman are also banged up and are missing some time.

The good news is Nebraska football head coach Matt Rhule said that none of the three players are expected to miss a ton of practice. Defensive lineman Maverick Noonan on the other hand is out for the year.

It’s a safe bet that more members of the Nebraska Cornhuskers will succumb to injuries in the rest of fall camp. The hope here is that those injuries won’t end too many seasons. It’s a real bummer about the younger Noonan for sure, who is said to have made strides this spring and summer.
