Nebraska Cornhuskers football head coach Matt Rhule had a pretty awesome reaction to the news of 4-star receiver Jacory Barney committing.

Last week, the Nebraska Cornhuskers successfully secured a remarkable commitment that surprised their football fanbase and caused a frenzy among the coaching staff. Although Twitter was flooded with tweets from the assistants and reactions from the fans, the most impressive response was from the head coach.

When Jacory Barney committed to the Nebraska Cornhuskers, it came as a surprise to many. However, Matt Rhule didn’t show any signs of being surprised, even for a moment.

The coach responded to the commitment with one simple word. And it was certainly one that Husker fans are familiar with.

If for some reason you don’t know what that phrase means, GBR stands for “Go Big Red.”

Other Nebraska Cornhuskers news

  • The Nebraska wrestling program added another tool to its toolbelt over the weekend. They welcomed in multi-time NCAA qualifier Owen Pentz from North Dakota State out of the transfer portal. CornNation has a great run down of the newest grappler.
  • Three former Nebraska basketball stars, Bryce McGowens (Charlotte Hornets), Trey McGowens (Brooklyn Nets) and Sam Griesel (Boston Celtics) are playing in the NBA Summer League.
  • Finally, the Nebraska Cornhuskers have a very interesting style compared to other colleges. Now as a Husker fan, you can show off that style on your own. Foco.com is launching a new line of branded overalls that will allow you to show off your favorite team while sitting in opposing stands. Sure feels like Husker fans rolling into Minnesota and Colorado in these outfits would be pretty damn hilarious.
